We headed to camp for the weekend for Shelby (our niece) & Josh’s wedding, it was super fun, and like a mini vacation for us!
Spending time with cousins
Kris was kind enough to do Marian’s hair
It was hot! The boys partially ready . . .
All three were in the wedding and do a great job!
Out of respect for the photographer, I stayed out of the say–this was the best shot I got of them:)
The reception was at a ski lodge and Grandpa took the kids on the ski lift for a ride-they loved that!
Saying goodbye to “camp” is always hard
God’s blessings to Josh & Shelby as they begin life together:)
Another trip to a park for letter boxing, Tobin is thrilled . . .
We were rather perplexed for awhile
And, then found the tree with the “slash”
And, the hollowed out tree where it was hidden
And, as usual we got turned around and wandered for a bit
A reluctant stop for a picture
Some guest photography from the kids . . .
They created zoo animal habitats (from the end of August)
Can even feed the giraffes
And, a marble run
Oh, I am so wanting a day like this . . .
The kids had a lesson at Sunday School about “planting seeds” for people; Ezra came up with the idea of a lemonade stand and we could put verses wrapped around the cups. We picked out some verses, bought some cups & lemonade, and called a friend who lives in the front of the sub where there is a lot more traffic–her kids were all in too:) We set up shop at about 3pm when it was hot and people were starting to get home from work.
It was quite a success, everyone read the verses, some even had a short discussion. We don’t know what kind of impact was made but I was excited for Ezra to apply the Sunday School lesson in a way that he could.
Mostly, the clients were neighbors that we knew and we got several landscape workers! And, don’t worry, I was always right there.
Tobin gets every speck of whatever he’s eating, and he frequently looks like this . . .
Check out the chin, it’s from sticking his whole face into the ice cream bowl;)
