Camp-already Thursday!

Camp always seems to go really slowly (or relaxingly or casually) for 2 or 3 days and then all of a sudden it’s Thursday and you can’t believe the week is almost over.  I’ve decided I would like to go for 10 days, 2 weeks is probably too much and 1 week isn’t quite enough.

This was a weird weather day, there was a big foggy haze over the lake to the north but for most of the day we were nice & sunny. 

We heard the climbing wall was open so Mari & I made a quick dash and both were able to climb.

Getting to love & hug Jessica & Shelby was a big hit!

And, I don’t have a single picture (because he was always disappearing) but Tobin kept wanting “to see Grandma’s cabin” all week, she had a little shadow after her all the time.  At first we decided it was because their room had air conditioning and Tobin isn’t much on the heat, then we found out she had trail mix in their room!   I think the main reason was to get Grandma all to himself:)

We went to the big lake with Todd & Nancy & kids to have a camp fire and make smores and eat cheese dip.  Before we all had kids we would do this several nights during the week, having 5 kids between us in 5 years put a damper on that.  Since our youngest is almost 4 we decided to give it a try again.  We expected it to be a nice sunset but as we drove around the lake we discovered it was only sunny at camp!  It didn’t matter, the kids had a blast getting dirty in the sand, hunting for fire wood and eating s’mores which may have been Ezra & Tobin’s first ones.
