We had Becky & Issy over to carve pumpkins Monday night. We’ve had a pumpkin party the last few years with the neighbors but it just didn’t fit in the schedule this year, I missed it so I think I’ll plan ahead next year.

Ezra did a lot of poking with the mini saw but not much cleaning out

the finished products (can you see Tobin at the top-I’m soooo mad I didn’t get more of him in the shot!)

It got dark before we were done so Kelly got his big painting lights out to shine on us (made the pictures look cool I think)

Oh, and Mari’s says “come” I finished the next night “welcome”.
Last Saturday night, my sister and her family and her niece and her family all spent the night. They were on their way to Disney and we were their stop-over. There were 10 in all-4 adults & 6 kids (1 year-12 years). Kelly made us an awesome dinner and then went with Tobin & Ezra to sleep at his parents house which freed up some beds for us. It actually went really well. I even made two airport runs in the morning between 5:30am and 7:30am!

and this guy-oh man is he cute!

I realize it’s Halloween but I’m catching up from the past week (and they are mostly Halloween related!).
Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch, we’ve been going with the same family since Mari was 6 months old. And, we had a pretty good run of having a new baby each year for about 5 years! We get homemade donuts, go on a hay ride (which is actually a straw ride) out to the pumpkin field and pick out our pumpkins, and we usually feed the goats. I, of course, take a lot of pictures. This proved to be a little difficult this year as it was drizzling most of the time.

Tobin picked his out right away

Mari & Ez covered the entire field before finding theirs

At the last minute, the kids spotted a better pumpkin and worked together to try and get it into the wheel barrow-it was pretty big.

And, every year we take a family picture-it almost didn’t happen this year but I quickly decided that Nancy could stand in the little shed to keep the camera dry while we sat in the drizzle

We got in on the last of the nice weather yesterday afternoon and got a quick trip to the park in. Ezra loves this slidy thing that you wiz down on your armpits-btw, it doesn’t work with short sleeves.

And, Tobin insisted on wearing these cowboy boots all day yesterday-they are a size 12 I think, he wears an 8 or 9 so it was pretty funny watching him manuever in them all day.

And, just like this shot

Unfortunately, it ended with a bee sting, the bee was practically dead sitting on the monkey bars and Tobin grabbed it! Then, I couldn’t get the stinger out, ran to car & got a credit card to “flick” it out, that didn’t work and then found a tweezers in the first aid kid, they were bad ones but I finally got it out. Tobin was actually very brave:)
Oh, and this morning he says to me “I absolutely won’t break the puzzles”.
