Fishing

Posted 1 year, 2 months ago at 7:36 pm.

Oh, just found these also-they were fishing, they really make laugh with how they come up with these ideas. Mari found bungie cords in the garage and that’s all it took.

Check out our tree in the background-it’s taller than Ez now:)

Pampered Chef

Posted 1 year, 2 months ago at 7:30 pm.

I’ve been quite overwhelmed with pictures, gardening, harvesting, tri-training, & other stuff and have not even wanted to take pictures this week.  So, I’m caught up now but don’t have much to post.  I had a Pampered Chef party, my friend Becky is a new consultant, it was fun and we got $60 in free stuff-not bad and the house got somewhat cleaned also:)

Happy Fathers Day

Posted 1 year, 2 months ago at 7:22 pm.

Yeah, I’m way late but better late than never right!  I was so excited this year to give Kelly his present because the kids & I found this “Life is Good” t-shirt (I keep hearing about these) at TJ Maxx.  It is green (his favorite color), with a guitar (he owns 5 think), and in the center of the guitar is a shamrock (he likes all things Irish-think green, golf, Guinness) and it says “Shamrock on”.

We went to church where I helped with a car wash for all the dads and then out to eat. I took the kids out for a while after dinner so Kel could watch the US Open peacefully.

I would like to add that I am married to the best man ever, who is a fantastic dad & husband. I’m blessed to also have the most awesome dad ever and my father-in-law is pretty great too!

Strawberries coming out of my ears!

Posted 1 year, 2 months ago at 5:40 am.

My friend Nancy picks strawberries, blueberries, and others every summer and freezes them. With this whole idea of eating “locally”, it seemed like a good idea. We picked a day and I knew Kelly would want nothing to do with the “picking” part but I wanted this to be a whole family affair so I told him we were doing it at 8:30 am on May 20th and I wanted him to have a good attitude about it. He never really has a bad attitude:) (at least outwardly). If you recall, it poured on Friday night so the idea of taking Tobin into the muddy fields to pick strawberries tipped the scales in Kelly’s favor so I just took Ez & Mari in their rainboots. They had a blast and turns out since it poured the day before no one had picked so we had great picking!  I overbought, I called Kelly on the way home to warn him and to tell him I’m not allowed to buy strawberries again until next June.  We did manage to freeze all of them, Mari & Ez were a BIG help (I mean that seriously) and Kelly made a batch of jam.

It's getting hot outside

Yes, very behind! On Thursday, the neighbor girls & Mari & Ez washed some cars.

I made a water obstacle course in the front yard with whatever I could find in the garage, you know-climb a stool, dribble a soccer ball to the kickboard, jump across the hose. After we each did mine, Ez & Mari took turns creating their own. Mari never wanted to do Ezra’s (they were a little confusing:)). Tobin wanted the big pool out really bad but it’s too much work for the late afternoon so I filled a storage container with water for him-that sort of did the trick, should have gotten a picture of him in it.

Then, they had a banana snack picnic, it’s really pretty funny the little things that create happiness with little ones.
